Jessica Yevan - Maid of Honor
Not just my bridesmaid, but my life long best friend.
As my one and only older sister, she was automatically assigned the role of the responsible one. From the moment she realized how clumsy I was, she took her job very seriously—especially after that one fateful day when we were about 4 and 5 years old. We were crossing a little bridge in our acreage backyard with a stream below when, true to form, I took an unexpected dive. Without hesitation, she unleashed the full power of her vocal cords (basically a built-in emergency siren), alerting my parents and securing her place as my personal lifesaver.
Ever since then, I’ve been repaying her for saving my life—though, if we’re being honest, she probably deserves way more. I will never forget her generous heart always taking care of everyone before herself. She encouraged me to go to Africa with her and serving next to her will forever be in my heart. Her joyful radiance and love was poured on all the people that encountered her. She is my most beautiful, graceful, classiest sister and the strongest person I know. I will cherish all the moments we rolled on the ground together laughing until we cried, probably about her doing the most hilarious things and will miss the daily mispronunciations of words she would so confidently say out loud. Ohhh i love you, sis!
Emma Yevan - Bridesmaid
Not just my sister, but one of the kindest, warmest souls I know. Emma is the first to offer a hug (whether you need one or not) and the first to tear up at the sweetest moments. She’s got the most contagious laugh—the kind that makes it impossible not to join in, even if you don’t know what’s funny. She’s the person who will laugh with me as much as cry with me. I remember the time we drove to hot springs and got stuck in the car together while the siren was going off, theres no one else that I would rather have laughed it off with. Or the many times we would stop in the middle of the road just so she could pick her flowers that we spotted on the side of the road. The cold plunges we would do in the river before sunrise ;) Everyone knows her as the quite one, but when we went to crater lake she was the most brave one and jumped into the water of the rock first. Even though i give her a hard time for being too generous, that is exactly what I will remember most about her, her Heart of Gold. Giving away the clothes of her back to anyone who was cold and never making anyone feel like it was a hard choice to make. On top of that, she’s an incredible teacher. Not only does she love kids but they love her. I’m beyond proud of her, and I honestly can’t imagine my wedding day without her by my side
Victoria Yevan - Bridesmaid
My youngest sister, my mini-me, and the one I got to share all my “big sister wisdom” with—whether she asked for it or not! From the start, she’s been by my side, learning, growing, and keeping life endlessly fun. She’s the one I was the most craziest with, the one who could match my energy, and the one who always made everything more exciting. We’ve had our fair share of adventures. The times we went out on walks middle of a beautiful bright snowy night and slid down on all the hills we laid our eyes on. Or the times we were driving cross country, twice! When everyone was sleeping she sat as my passenger, staying up with me and laughing until we had abs.
Even though she’s the youngest, she’s incredibly strong, determined, confident, and always ready to take on the world. I’ve loved watching her grow into the amazing person she is today, and I couldn’t be prouder to have her standing by my side on my wedding day. I know no matter what, she’ll always be there, just like she always has been.
